The Space Between Us
Asa Butterfield, Gary Oldman and Britt Robertson
Asa Butterfield, Gary Oldman and Britt Robertson
Rated PG-13
The
first human born on Mars travels to Earth for the first time,
experiencing the wonders of the planet through fresh eyes.
He embarks on an adventure with a street smart girl to discover how he came to be.
“The Space Between Us” is, at its heart, a love story. If you can let go of some of the plot holes and enjoy the movie as it was meant to be, a romantic fantasy, you'll find this an engaging and wonderfully acted escape film.
Both Asa Butterfield and Britt Robertson turn in solid performances, but it is Butterfield's wide-eyed innocent “Gardner” who carries the film.
“The Space Between Us” gets a B and is rated PG-13.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
Starring: Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter
Rated R
In the 6th and final chapter of the “Resident Evil” series, Alice returns to where the nightmare began: The Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.
“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” is simply a bad film. The film is mostly a cliché from beginning to end with incoherent plot lines coming from a terrible script, quick-cut editing that looked like it was done with a buzzsaw and an ending that was simply pointless.
There is really no reason to see this film, unless you feel like punishing yourself.
“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” gets an F and is rated R.

xXx: The Return of Zander Cage
Starring: Vin Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson
Rated PG-13
In
the film, Xander Cage is left for dead after an incident, though he
secretly returns to action for a new, tough assignment with his
handler Augustus Gibbons.Despite its lack of a well-defined
storyline, “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage” is exactly what you'd
expect of a Vin Diesel action flick: a lot of over-the-top stunts and
chase sequences.
“xXx: The Return of Xander Cage” is a fun, nonsensical action ride that doesn't take itself too seriously.
It gets a C and is rated PG-13.
